ReWire Energy brings its expertise to municipal governments, serving as strategic consultants, reviewing portfolio data, conducting usage and efficiency audits, and identifying potential new generating opportunities. This approach allows municipal power managers to reduce consumption, achieve cost savings (which could be passed along to consumers), and seek new opportunities they may not be able to consider on their own. ReWire uses a consultative model, bringing a team approach to developing solutions tailored to each individual municipal entity, working to develop strategic plans for long term cost savings and sustainability.
ReWire provides advisory support to municipal governments as they seek to rollout creative Smart City initiatives. This approach includes policy guidance and technical advisory. We couple this with creative software and integrated solutions to meet current and emerging municipal energy challenges.
Our team of experts work with local governments to review operations, analyze energy usage, and consider grid challenges and opportunities to find the most efficient energy approach for municipalities. Our process focuses on reducing energy consumption and saving money, with an eye toward Zero Energy goals for all clients.
Through our work with local governments, ReWire is offering an informative Municipal Energy Roadmap for local governments, planning boards and municipal officials to foster the process of developing strategic energy guidelines for new construction. This tool can be customized for individual communities, offering a clear vision and guidance for local government commercial energy planning.
The ReWire team is working with Fosterra in support of their innovative PEV Roadmap. This is an online Electric Vehicle (EV) and Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) knowledgebase and toolset. The program is designed to help government agencies answer important questions around EV adoption planning in their communities. Questions such as:
Collaboratively we are working with Fosterra to incorporate the PEV Roadmap project into ReWire’s Municipal Smart Energy Platform. This effort will accelerate PEV market growth for your community and facilitate targeted EV charging infrastructure placement in locations best suited to both municipal goals and utility grid needs. This effort was launched in 2018, leveraging prior EPA-funded EV projects in the largest US market, and now available for cities and counties across New York State.
